Skillibeng steps into a commanding dancehall mood on General, using sharp wordplay, a forceful delivery and the confidence of a deejay who knows exactly how he wants his voice to land.
General runs on a compact modern dancehall production that keeps the rhythm tight while leaving plenty of space for Skillibeng’s intricate flow. His delivery is packed with quick phrasing and assertive lines, giving the track a confrontational edge without needing a long arrangement. At just 1:59, the record gets to its point quickly and keeps the pressure on.
Released on September 18, 2026 through Eastsyde Recording Studios, the single was written and produced by Skillibeng, whose real name is Emwah Ryan Warmington. The release entered the iTunes Reggae Singles Chart at number nine within 24 hours, while discussion around the song’s meaning has continued; Skillibeng has not publicly confirmed whether it contains messages aimed at other dancehall artists.
The short runtime is one of the track’s defining details, forcing the performance to stay concentrated around the vocal. Skillibeng’s tightly packed rhyme patterns give the instrumental little empty space, making the lyrical delivery the main attraction.
General adds another hard-edged entry to Skillibeng’s dancehall catalogue, keeping the focus on lyrical ability, confidence and a direct deejay performance. Its compact structure makes the record feel immediate while leaving plenty for listeners to unpack.
